Oil Painting
18 x 36 inches
A late-afternoon scene in New Mexico, on the way from Amarillo to Tucumcari. There was just a little piece of bright sky at the horizon, which is why I painted this.

Oil Painting, 12 x 9 inches
This painting of an evergreen tree will be one of 3 paintings I have in the Miniature Masterpieces show at Evergreen Fine Art in Evergreen, Colorado. For those of you in Colorado, the opening reception will be this Friday November 20 from 5 - 8 pm, and I plan to be there.
In other news, we have now moved home and studio into the city of Denver. We are in the Park Hill neighborhood, a great walking community built mostly in the 1920's and 1930's. We have great access to all that Denver has to offer, but for a city neighborhood it's still fairly quiet. We miss our mountain views but are excited to be in town, and the mountains aren't that far away when we need a visit.
I sacrificed a lot of painting time over the summer as we unpacked boxes and shifted furniture. But most things are in place now and I am back on a good painting schedule.
