I had an urge to do some larger landscapes, so this is one of them. It is a scene in the south of France, one of the many tree-lined country roads. Such roads are among my favorite subjects to paint, and among my favorite places to explore on road trips (I suppose those two are connected!)
This painting brings back memories of when my husband and I lived in southern France. You have captured the scene and light perfectly.
